Become a Board Member

Board members have the exciting opportunity to lead one of the only philanthropic nonprofits in the U.S. focused exclusively on the intersection of the Asian & Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ community.

You will work with a nimble, interdisciplinary, and mission-driven team across a diverse array of activities including philanthropy, fundraising, marketing, and event-planning.

At a high level, board members:

  • Attend monthly meetings (in-person or remote)

  • Lead or support 1-2 committees (e.g., Marketing, Philanthropy, etc.)

  • Commit 2-3 hours per month on committee-related activities

  • Raise $2,000 / year

That said, every board member’s involvement is unique, and we will work with you to tailor a role that fits your interest and background.

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for folks of all backgrounds who are values-driven, collaborative, and organized self-starters. Prior experience in philanthropy, nonprofit, or program management is helpful, but is not required. We encourage folks of all experience levels to apply.

We are committed to our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strive to exemplify these values not only in our mission and work but in our board representation as well. We highly encourage individuals currently underrepresented in the landscape of the LGBTQIA+ & API community to apply. We want to amplify your voice.
